Treatment

Hatha yoga and the Feldenkrais and Anat Baniel Methods have broad therapeutic applications ranging from an improved sense of well-being to alleviation of severe and chronic pain. They have the potential to:

  • Increase strength and flexibility
  • Alleviate repetitive stress symptoms (RSI).
  • Enhance mental clarity and concentration and retard signs of aging.
  • Improve balance and coordination.
  • Eliminate chronic aches, pains and discomfort.
  • Restore easy movement, flexibility, and mindful presence in your body.
  • Promote deeper, sounder sleep.

The Feldenkrais Method, in my view, is the single most important modality in increasing the function of awareness. True awareness relates to all things — it is not selective and targeted. An aware person has an enhanced vision that is not a product of intellectual achievement.

The Anat Baniel Method has transformed the lives of children with special needs, and in that regard, is in a class by itself.  Children affected by cerebral palsy, autism, brachial plexus injury, scoliosis, ADD, and other issues affecting healthy development. The work is equally transformative for adults regardless of whether they have any physical limitations.
